All the players get a clue to a secret advantage, but they can’t start searching for it until they correctly solve a word scramble. Karla solves the puzzle first, but is slowed down by a hurt ankle. Owen is next to solve correctly, but Karla finds the advantage first. Since Karla has various injuries and knows she’s a threat in the game, the advantage comes at a good time.

A scramble for an advantage slimmed down the pool of vulnerable castaways. And one castaway feeling the heat took a big swing out in the open at Tribal Council. The season started off with the castaways split into two tribes, Lairo and Vokai.

The next day, the final four compete in their final immunity challenge. They have to use a long fork to navigate bowls through a difficult maze and stack them on top of another. Cassidy wins, making it her third individual immunity win. It didn't take long for the game to kick into gear on Survivor 43. With everyone on small tribes, duos and trios began to solidify.
However, the girls alliance decided to try and vote out Molly because she was such a strategic player, and they were able to rally enough votes from other players to send Molly home. Noura won the Final Immunity Challenge, and she chose to bring Tommy to the Final Three with her. Lauren and Dean then had to compete in a fire making challenge, and Dean ended up winning, sending Lauren to the jury. Noura explained that although Lauren was her number one ally and closest friend, she knew that Lauren would beat her if she brought her to the Final Three.

But yet another bungled puzzle performance began to change the minds of her allies. While Nneka was confident that outsider Noelle would be getting the boot, her friends and enemies joined together to blindside her. But Jesse turned the tides yet again, fearing Sami would be a threat in the firemaking challenge. And the nail in his coffin came with the Shot in the Dark, which he openly declared he'd be using at Tribal Council. So when it failed, that led to an open-and-shut unanimous vote.

However, once they got to Tribal Council, Ronnie annoyed everyone with his selfish monologue and otherwise untrustworthiness. While two votes ended up going towards Vince, poker player Ronnie ended up being the first castaway voted off of the island when seven of his tribe mates voted him out. Even after a tribe swap, the Lairo tribe continued with its losing streak. It seemed like Karishma was going to be voted out, as she was the slowest during both the immunity and the reward challenges, but her willingness to flip on her old tribe kept her safe.
Additionally, the hunt for advantages truly made sure that every vote counts. In fact, it caused a mad scramble leading up to this week's Tribal Council, leading into the second person eliminated from the game. Survivor 43reached the final week of the game, and the intensity continued to ramp up. A classic challenge was an exercise in mental and physical torture that led to a never-before-seen outcome.

With just one week to go before the finale, names like Dean, Lauren, and Noura were floated around as possible votes. After Dean won the immunity challenge, it seemed like another strong player was probably going to be voted out. While they were initially leading in the physical portion of immunity challenge, Lairo lost when they got to the puzzle part of the challenge. At Tribal Council, the tribe tried to vote out Karishma, but she played an immunity idol that nullified any votes against her. A tie vote between Elizabeth and Janet triggered a revote, and Elizabeth was later voted out, and she became the next member of the jury. The ‘Survivor’ contestants compete in immunity challenge.
